AriSLA Call for Project 2011
Project Proposals submission starts on April 29 and ends at 1 p.m. of June 15
AriSLA, Foundation for Research on Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), opens on April 29 the new Call for Research Projects. In the two previous editions AriSLA funded 13 promising projects, still ongoing, for a total budget of about two and a half million euros, becoming one of the key partners for research about this disease. The 2011 Call for Project has been redesigned and offers the opportunity to apply for a grant to young scholars (and not only to "established" researchers) who attempt innovative research paths.
Proposals can be funded by a 'Full Grant' if projects have a solid background, submitted by "established" researchers which aim to develop research lines with available preliminary data. Full grants project areas are basic, translational or clinical research. On the other way highly innovative research projects can be funded by a 'Pilot Grant' if they present promising hypothesis and intend to follow thoroughly new research paths and cover the fields areas of basic, translational or technological research.
Project proposals submitted for a 'Full Grant' can be performed in collaboration with other partners, shall have a maximum duration of 36 months and will be funded up to a maximum of 300 thousand euros. The projects submitted for a 'Pilot Grant' shall have a maximum duration of 12 months and do not overcome 60 thousand euros.
The AriSLA Call for Projects 2011 opens to a plurality of applicants from public and private non-profit Universities and research institutes. Proposals must be submitted within 1 p.m. of June 15, 2011 and will be evaluated by the International Scientific Committee of AriSLA.
The Call for Project, the Project Proposal Forms and the Guidelines can be downloaded from the AriSLA website at the following link: http://www.arisla.org/areaBandi.php/concorso-per-progetti-di-ricerca-2011.
